Clutter, Clutter!

It seems that no matter what I do, clutter follows me everywhere in life.

Part of the problem, if of course, that I'm a shopper. It's hard for me to pass up really fabulous deals. Another part of the problem is that I have this horrible fear that if I give away a book or CD or something, I may want it back. And then of course is the fact that I'm a bit ADD it seems and am easily distracted from the task of organizing.
Even as I sit here now at work, I sit in clutter. The Project Data binder is propped up against the wall for easy reference. The bag that had my chips in it for lunch is next to the phone, and on the other side of the computer is a stack of student folders. (I got distracted by the idea of lunch and didn't put them away.)

But on the bright side, I think I'm getting better. I really do. I'm selling on ebay and giving stuff away on freecycle and look! I just put away the student folders and threw out my chips bag.

How do you deal with clutter? Not just things, but cluttered schedules or cluttered thought life? Share your tips for all to learn!

Well, I have a habit that many people hate--put it away right away! Don't think about later--clean it up now! My students hate me for it! Most of them love the clutter and I hate it. I'm constantly cleaning up after them. It drives us both insane--I've got to stop! :)
Your blog reminds of all the nights before vacation--up very late trying to pack everything. :)

I seem to live for clutter, at least you'd think so by looking at our bedroom. The rest of the house is tidy and clean, so our company THINKS we're not packrats! HA!

But I try to make my life (i.e. schedules) as uncluttered as possible. Streamline.... I try to schedule Dr. & dentist appts for the same day, so we only have one unfun day out of a week...
