Stuff!

*I've been so sluggish about blogging lately, that I've agreed to do NaBloPoMo or whatever it's called. Don't get too excited, I bet a lot of the posts will end up like this, but I'm excited! I really want to get some of my longer posts in draft finished as well and knowing I'll have days where I need something to post will be my inspiration. I've already started a weightier post for today but eyeing the clock, I realized I better get something up before this opportunity passes me by....

*Penguin and Random House merged which means the end of the world as we know it is here. I really really wish they'd decided to call it Random Penguin House, though.

*The election is next week which means I'll be spending my weekend researching local issues I've been ignorant about til now. Hoping to make a habit out of it and be a better citizen.

*Tomorrow kicks off the Christmas season for me--I'm going to an annual event at my old church where they sell crafty items and decorate for Christmas and host a Christmas themed night. It's super early, but I look forward to it every year.

*Still loving Nashville even though this week's episode verged on a bit too soapy for me. BUT I really like the Juliette character for a multitude of reasons which makes me laugh since some of my friends didn't want to watch because of Hayden. I think her character is just so interesting to me and while I like Rayna loads, too, I feel like Juliette has more interesting conflict. Did you know this show is created by the writer of Thelma & Louise? She has apparently given up on feature films as a place to tell stories about women and is happy on TV and I'm glad because I like Nashville. I even like Scarlett's storyline because it's so real and also because I don't really think I'm supposed to be rooting for her and Avery to make it. I think I'm supposed to be rooting for her to stand up for herself and go after what she wants (not Avery), so yay. I like how the show has three women in different stages of a singer's career and I like how much you can feel stuff. Like last week's episode was excellent, in my opinion, I felt so much for all the characters. I just really really think this show has potential and I'm excited to see what happens next!

That's it for today! Hope you all had wonderful Halloweens! Let me know if you're doing NaBloPoMo (is this what it's called? It's national blog posting month?)
