Wow, everyone made my day! Out of over 100 blogs I was one of the top 5 finalists? Even though it is raining like crazy, I had a terrible drive to work today, and I can't go and see "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" for free tonight because of the aforementioned rain I'm now on cloud 9!

Congrats to those nominated so far! This is going to be great to find new blogs, I'm surprised that I haven't been visiting half of them so far. Now I'll be camping out next to my computer all day to see what comes up next!

I was honored just to receive a nomination. I've only been blogging two years and this is really fine company to be with. Kudos to all the finalists so far!

Hey, cool! But Amy, you have West of Mars under altruistic blogs, which is where it belongs -- except you've got my main author's blog there, not the Win a Book blog, which I think is the better fit for the category.

Congratulations to all the nominees!

Amy,

You had an inspirational idea and done a great job! Thank you.

Neither of my blogs made the short list but I'm not surprised. One of them is very new and the other is going through a major upheaval. The really nice thing is that I can learn from a whole bunch of examples of how people are book blogging and doing it well!

Lenore Appelhans said...

Wow - so many great YA book blogs and I made the short list *blushes*

Wow, I found this blog as a link from another blog, which was sent to me by a friend. And who is on this list of blogs, except for me! I had no clue! I feel so very special. ;-)

So thank you, and I'm off to write a blog about this contest. I appreciate you nominating me for one of the best Nonfiction Book blogs. Now I'm going to have to read the other blogs on the list!

hmmm... I see that I needed to be more specific with my previous comment as I came off wrong. When I commented about "trashy" blogs and there being better out there, not all of the MANY wonderful categories were posted, but only two. One being the romance category. Some, some I say of the blogs in that category are what I was referencing as trashy. As, I do believe they are called by book sellers and themselves trashy romances. I'm just shocked with all of the romance out there be it inspirational, trashy, and in between that those were picked. Yet, I did not put forth any nominations, and things just work out that way. Many people like it, I suppose. I'm just saying. There could be much better.

As a whole, the MAJORITY of blogs here are beyond fabulous with wonderful hours upon hours of reading and tidbits and information for the book-a-holic!! So I'm sorry if you thought I meant you. I mean to say thank you for all the time that "most" of you put into your great blogs.
