Well, the Academy Award nominations have been announced, and as usual, I haven't really seen many of these movies.
I did see Atonement. Yup, that's the only I've seen that's been nominated for anything. Oh wait, and I saw August Rush and Once which each have a song in the Best Original Song Category which is otherwise dominated by Enchanted songs. And I have La Vie en Rose out from Blockbuster at the moment but I haven't watched it yet.
It's just that movies with titles like, No Country for Old Men and There Will be Blood don't appeal to me. I don't know. Guess I'm shallow.
Have you seen any of the nominated films (in any category)? Do you tend to watch movies if they are nominated for awards or does it not affect your decision making process at all?

Wow, Juno IS up for a lot. I haven't seen ANY of those movies. They don't even sound appealing at all!
I know. Atonement was good, but depressing. Which may be a prerequisite to winning!
