Saturday night my favorite Christmas movie was on. It's a Wonderful Life gets me every time. It's the story of a life and how all lives matter. It's funny and heartwarming and hopeful and shows what a community can accomplish together against even the richest and most powerful of men. It's a story about how our sacrifices for others make a difference. I love it.
Do you have a favorite Christmas movie? I'm going to host a mini Christmas Movie Extravaganza this Thursday December 18th. I'll write about the Christmas movies I love and have a Mr. Linky up so that if you want to do the same you can enter your post into the Mr. Linky. Maybe we can learn about some new Christmas movies to watch. I tend to go for the sweet and sappy ones, but if you prefer the A Christmas Story variety I won't hold it against you! I hope many of you will participate..there will also be a fun contest to go with it!

My parents just went to the play for Its a wonderful life at the local theatre!
I'll try to participate. Would you believe I've never seen It's a Wonderful Life? Isn't that crazy!?
My favorite Christmas movies include the original Miracle on 34th Street and The Santa Clause.
Would you believe I only saw It's a Wonderful Life for the first time a couple of years ago?

I watched It's a Wonderful Life on Saturday night too. It's my absolute favorite Christmas movie and I watch it at least 3 times each Christmas. It never loses its charm for me.
I've never seen Its a Wonderful Life. It was on, but it was already halfway through. My BF said it's on all the time in England during the holidays and he'll make sure we watch it.
I LOVE Nightmare Before Christmas! I watch it for both Halloween and Christmas.
Count me in, I was going to do this anyway:) I have a great list!
*It's a Wonderful Life* is a huge hit in our family. We watch it several times each season, have the script memorized, and often catch each other sharing such wisdom as "no man is a failure who has friends" and "every time a bell rings, an angel earns his wings." We have a big reproduction of a movie poster framed and hung in our basement; George and Mary had 4 kids, like we do ....
(for Valentine's Day, our favorite is Casablanca!)
