BBAW Day 2: Blogger Interviews

When bloggers registered for BBAW, I asked if they were interested in participating in an interview swap. I matched up the bloggers by the order I received their emails in. It was my hope that everyone would meet some new bloggers this way.

Besides, we bloggers deserve the spotlight a little, right? So...now's the time! Add the link to your interview to the Mr. Linky. Please remember to add the link to your specific post and not your general URL. Please also link back to THIS post and not my general URL. :)

Because I'm drowning in books to give away to you all and because I really want you to go check out all the posts, here's a little incentive...go read at least five of these interviews, and then come back and let me know what you read! I'll randomly draw from the comments two winners to receive three book sets. You will either receive a set of With Endless Sight by Allison Pittman, Sisterchicks Go Brit! by Robin Jones Gunn, and Beyond the Night by Marlo Schalesky. Or Border Lass by Amanda Scott, Insatiable Desire by Rita Heron, and Hungry for More by Diana Holquist. This giveaway will be open today only. Go forth and have fun!

UGH! So sorry I forgot to add Mister Linky. If you left your link in comments, please enter it again so you'll get a link when this is over....

I've read some great interviews. I'm sorry I didn't get it together enough to participate in this part of BBAW.

I like how Serena at Savvy Verse & Wit reads books even after reading some poor reviews. It makes me feel like bloggers reviews, good or bad, get people interested in books.

I'm amazed how Jill at The Magic Lasso does so much with her blog even with so much going on in her life. I love that she keeps an important hobby for herself.

It was fun to hear that Amy, herself, reads so much each week. I don't feel so guilty now with how many hours I spend reading.

I read so many interviews, it's hard to keep them all straight. And, I can't wait to read more!

My interview with Ana of Things Mean a Lot is here. She's quite an interesting person and I enjoyed getting to know her!

My interview is linked to my name. I put the podcast up in AAC format which is the format that iTunes uses as well as Quicktime. It may be easier to go to the main podcast page which is the Inklings tab and subscribe. If you have iTunes, it will download through that.

My interview with Sarah over at SmallWorlds Reads is up. This was a lot of fun.

I've read all of them, and will be sure to come back and read more if they get listed. There is something so intimate about an interview, whether it is an author or just a book lover like myself. Great job...all of you!

I do plan to try and read all the interviews, but to get started off, I stopped in on both Michele and Nymeth's interviews with each other. Nymeth is one of my favorite bloggers and this was a great chance to get to know her better. I am also glad for the opportunity to meet Michele.

I've also had a chance to visit both Suey and Christine who interviewed one another. Both are bloggers I have interacted with before, but I enjoyed getting to know them better.

I stopped in on Heather and Carrie's blogs as well to read their interviews with each other.

This was a great idea, Amy. I look forward to checking out the other interviews!

Literary Feline said...

I meant Sarah's blog, not Carrie's. Ugh. Where is my brain? LOL Sorry about that.

I started with mine and worked backwards, so I read:
Nymeth, (interview with Michele)
Literary Feline (Interview with Bookish Ruth)
Michele (Interview with Nymeth/Ana)
Literary Escapism (Interview w-Presenting Lenore)
Age 30 ... A Lifetime of Books (interview with OCD, Vampires, and Amusing Rant

I read the interviews with Diary of an Eccentric's Anna, Lourdes of Lost in Books, Amy of My Friend Amy, Dawn at She Is Too Fond of Books, Suey It's All About Books, Christine from She Reads Books, Wendy of Musings of a Bookish Kitty, and Ruth of Bookish Ruth.

Ok I think that is more than five interviews, but I hope to get through them all.

Suey (Interview with Christine from She Reads Books) - How does she find the time to read, much less Blog being a 4th year undergrad??

Literary Feline (Interview with Bookish Ruth)

Bookish Ruth's Interview with Wendy of Musings of a Bookish Kitty -- I really enjoyed this Q&A!

Age 30 ... A Lifetime of Books (interview with OCD, Vampires, and Amusing Rant) -- another great Q&A with some really original questions.

Wonderful interviews! Sorry I missed out on doing this.

- I learned that Suey from It's All About Books has about 150 books waiting to be read in her house (read this on Christine's She Reads Books).
- I learned that Christine has been blogging on an on-and-off basis for about five years (read this on Suey's It's All About Books)
- I learned that Wendy of Musings of a Bookish Kitty gets most of her book recommendations from other bloggers and readers (read this on Bookish Ruth's blog)
- I learned that Ruth's favorite genres are young adult fiction, mystery, historical and literary fiction (read that on Musings of a Bookish Kitty).
-And I learned that Amy from MyFriendAmy consider's her blog to be a personal blog with a healthy dose of books (read that on She Is Too Fond of Books).

I learned a lot more by visiting other interviews, but you only asked for 5.

So many great interviews, so little time. So, I did hit up 5 specifically for this challenge though.

I visited Savy Verse & Wit, and learned that Jilly from Magic Lasso actually named her blog due to inspiration from her childhood favorite show, Wonder Woman. How fun is that?!

I visited Literary Feline, and I learned that Bookish Ruth can actually remember cuddling and reading with her mom when she was 2! I would love to be able to have memories from that far back. Unfortunately I don't. My hubby does though, and I'm really hoping that's something he passes along to our little girls. I just know I'd be heartbroken if when they grow up they don't remember all the times we curled up together and read at this age (2 & 5).

I visited Age 30... (A Lifetime of books), and there I learned that Anna may just be a vampire and her rating system may not be that far off. ;)

I checked out Small World Reads, and I discovered that Heather has an incredibly puny TBR pile- a mere 25 books tall. :P

And last, but not least, I went over to Dawn's (She's too fond of books), and read your interview. I love how, as was pointed out there, you love to incorporate more than just books in to your blog. I think it's a nice way for your readers to get to know the real you when there's more than just thoughts on books.

Thanks!!!

I read the interview with Dawn of She's Too Fond of Books and now I know I need to read the Lace Reader. Her enthusiasm is contagious!

The interview with Kathy of Bermuda Onion was great because I found that blog very recently and already I can see how warm and friendly Kathy is. Plus she's moved 11 times and I feel that pain. I moved 16 times.

The interview with Bookish Ruth clued me in to the fact she reads more than one book at a time, something I can not ever do!

The interview with Suey of It's All About Books let me know that she and I both don't like erotica or Harlequin romance type books much at all.

And finally, the interview with Lourdes of Diary of an Eccentric showed me that she very clearly prefers mystery books over anthing else and I want to send her my best wishes on her upcoming wedding!

I commented and I can't for the life of me see it, or remember what I said. I don't know what I did wrong. I looked at too many blogs and I'm too tired. Last thing I remember is Savvy Verse and Wit interviewing Jilly about the inspiration of her blog name being Wonder Woman.I'm going to have to come back when my head clears.
