A Week of Pure Passion!!! (Take a Chance on Passion Contest)

I am so thrilled to celebrate the fabulous Julie Lessman's newest release A Passion Denied! We are going to have a very passionate week of celebration around here and Julie has offered some truly great prizes!! Here's what you can look forward to:
1) My Review of A Passion Denied
2) A Discussion about Romance
3) An Interview with Julie
4) A collection of links to other reviews and highlights on A Passion Denied!

But wait...you want to know about the giveaways, don't you?

FIVE people will get the chance to choose a copy of A Passion Most Pure, A Passion Redeemed, or A Passion Denied!

ONE person will win a set of all three books!

ONE person will win a 15 page writer's critique from Julie herself!

To enter these giveaways, leave comments on any post this week labeled A Week of Pure Passion. Each comment will gain you one entry into the contest. Since I know not everyone will be interested in the writer's critique, if you ARE interested in it, please end your comment like this--#WC. That way I know you are!

For an additional three entries, write about A Week of Pure Passion on your blog and include a link back to this post.

For one additional entry, twitter about this contest with a link back to this post.

Subscribe to Julie's newsletter for another two entries. Then, either send me an email or leave a comment on this post telling me you did so.

For another three entries, subscribe to this blog (My Friend Amy) via RSS or email.

Be sure to leave a comment on this post telling me about all of the ways you should be eligible to win!

Take a Chance on Passion
AND finally...a special contest. I really love Julie's books and would like to see them sell as well, as say, Harry Potter. So, here's my contribution:
If you purchase ANY of the books in the Daughters of Boston series and forward either your online receipt to me or a scanned version of your paper receipt, you can choose one of the following:
Ten entries into the contest for
A) The Writer's Critique
B) The Full Set of Books
C) A $30 Amazon Gift Card
OR
A guaranteed small surprise gift from me that I can guarantee will not equal the cost of the book but might include a gently read copy of another book, or a few small My Friend Amy gifties. :)
To be eligible, your receipt must be dated between the days of May 18-22. And it must be a brand new copy of the book. With your email, please let me know what you want (additional contest entries or surprise gift from me)

What a great idea Amy, I loved the entire series, and at this point have given away all my copies, so can I enter to win some new ones?? I will email you receipts from my purchases, which I think are up to 4 copies of Passion Most Pure, 2 copies of Redeemed and 2 Copies of Denied :o).
I have added this contest to my twitter, and facebook links. I subscribe to your blog via email, and am trying to subscribe to Julie's right now... I agree with you completly that these books should be owned by everyone, I talk about this every chance I get and have them being read by friends from multiple circles... Thank you Amy for another great post (I wish we were friends IRL, I love reading your blog and am sure we would get along great)

And I'm leaving a comment. Haha!

The first two books in this book are FANTASTIC! They are so interesting that you have to stay up long into the night to finish them!

AMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a fun week we are going to have here, and I can hardly wait for the discussion on ROMANCE -- YEAH!!! Thank you SO much, my friend, for hosting me on your blog this week.

SHERRI, thanks for stopping by! Good luck in the contest.

PATTI!!!! Turnaround is fair play, my friend -- your book What the Bayou Saw caused me several sleepless nights, girl!! Fabulous book, especially for all Boomers who remember the day Kennedy was shot!!

COURTNEY ... Thank you SO much for your great comment AND for already being a newsletter subscriber -- I soooo appreciate your support! Good luck in the contest!

HELGA MARIE!!! You and Amy are BOTH incredible blog supports for my series, and I cannot thank you BOTH enough for all you have done.

LINDA ...I have a feeling I'm "missing something" by you NOT reading them, too, so let's hope Amy's fabulous contest will do the trick. Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Julie

LEY, thanks for posting on your blog, girl!! And, yeah, Amy puts on a very cool contest.

DOREEN ... thanks SO much for reading books 1 and 2. I hope you like book 3, A Passion Denied, as well. Most seem to, although I keep hearing it's more "passionate" than the other two. I'll let you be the judge ...

CLENNA, thanks for trying to subscribe to my newsletter. Try going to my website at www.julielessman.com and just clicking on the "Newsletter" tab. That usually works for most people. Let me know on Amy's blog if it still doesn't work and leave your e-mail (spelling out the "at" and "dot"), and I will contact you to do it manually, okay?

CAROLE ... don't say that, sweetie, because if you keep posting on every blog giveaway I am currently featuring on my website calendar, I have a good feeling about it ... Of course, that a two bucks will get you a coffee at Starbucks ... :)

Hey, JESSICA ... so nice to see you here! Thanks for your sweet comment -- may it go from your lips to God's ear!! And, except for a couple of really tough reviews about the "passion" in my books, I'm hopin' and prayin' the "name" is a good one ... :)

Hugs,
Julie

First of all, Julie ROCKS. I met her at the '06 ACFW conference, offered to review her soon-to-be-releasing first novel for her, and totally fell in love with the Daughters of Boston Series!

So to show my support, I'm going to be commenting constantly on each day's posts (LOL), I signed up for Julie's letter, I signed up for this blog, I posted a link to it in my ShoutLife blog (the only one I have at the moment), I wrote a note about it on Facebook (does that count instead of Twitter? I'm not on Twitter yet) . . . and, er. I already own all three of the books. Two of A PASSION MOST PURE, actually. And I tell everyone I know to buy them.

So--I don't need to win the books, but I would LOVE the critique! Julie's already read my one small-press book, but I'd adore her input on one of my others! #WC (only--no books;-)

AMY, one of my favorite readers contacted me to say she keeps trying to post on this blog page and can't get it to work, so I told her I would post for her.

Her name is Amber, and I call her "Borders Girl" because she commented once on one of my blogs that she really wanted to win one of my books because she was currently reading A Passion Most Pure at Borders and loving it! She even sent me a picture of her reading the book at Borders, and I got such a kick out of that, that we have become good friends. Anyway, she actually won A Passion Redeemed on another blog giveaway of mine, so now she wants to go for the writer's critique.

So give her a big #WC.

Hugs,
Julie

JENNY GIRL ... Yeah, unfortunately, I can't think of too many "epic" romances except for Gone With the Wind (my favorite!), Thornbirds, and, of course, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. And I'm not real sure my series would even qualify for that caliber of romance, but it sure is one sprawling family-saga romance, I will give you that ... :)

ALEXA ... thanks for dropping by to enter the contest -- good luck!

SUZANA ... haven't read any yet, well then we really need to get these books into your hands, don't we?? In addition to having a chance to win on Amy's blog here, you can also check out my website calendar at www.julielessman.com, because I am running lots of giveaways on various blog interviews.

TERESA ... thank you SO much for your kind comment about my books!! Trust me ... a new writer (or any writer) NEVER gets tired of hearing that! :)

Hugs,
Julie
