Book Blogging Events

I've loved working on BBAW. It has been so much fun to meet all of you, and I can't wait to have time to read your blogs. The good news is that even though it's the end of BBAW, it's not the end of our friendships. Check out these great events in Book Blog Land!

MONDAYS
Mailbox Mondays at The Printed Page Talk about what great books you've received in the mail the past week!

The Week Ahead at She Is Too Fond of Books
Talk about what's coming up in the land of books! Also, you can create excitement about your upcoming reviews this way!

Wednesdays
The Great Wednesday Compare at The Book Mine Set
Vote for your favorite author of two pitted against each other!

Thursdays

Lesa's Book Critiques gives away ARCs sometimes autographed!

Booking Through Thursday a weekly carnival to chat about books!

Events
There's a monthly Bookworms Carnival! You can stay up to date on it at The Hidden Side of a Leaf.

The next 24 Hour Read-A-Thon is October 18th! It's really fun, you should join in! Read about it here.

Bookroom Reviews is hosting a Book Bloggers Giveaway Carnival in November! Yay! More Books!

Did I miss your event? Leave it in comments and I'll add it.

Thanks EVERYONE for a fantastic first BBAW. Be watching your email for follow-up questions and keep checking back for winners over the next few days.

I love you all,
Amy

The Book Roast is having a roast next week--stop by to chat with authors and have a chance to win free books. The list of authors is on the sidebar. We do this the end of every month.

It was such a fun week, the most fun I've had since I happened upon blogs a couple of months ago. This ran beautifully and you couldn't have done a nicer job with it, Amy. Thanks so much!

There are several regular events in the children's book blogging community. There is a monthly Carnival of Children's Literature (the host rotates, but that site is always up to date). Also, Monday's are Nonfiction Monday at Picture Book of the Day. And we celebrate Poetry Friday every week. The host for that varies, but you can always find the link at Big A little a. Finally, there is the Saturday Review of Books (not just KidLit books), in which Sherry from Semicolon encourages people to link in their best review of the week.

Thanks for this great list of other events that I didn't know about! You're doing a tremendous service in building community.

I second Semicolon's Saturday Review of books, and also you might add The Sunday Salon. This is an amazing place to connect with book lovers across the world! http://dhamel.typepad.com/sundaysalon/

Thanks guys! I actually participate in some of the ones mentioned, this list is the ones people emailed me with....admittedly I was a bit frazzled to hunt down any that didn't ask to be included except for booking through thursday which I passionately love. :)
I'll add them sometime next week.

Thank you so much for hosting BBAW and all of the time you spent gathering author guest posts and giveaways. It was really fun to check in with everyone all week and find a lot of great blogs that were new to me.

Thanks for all your hard work this week Amy.

One weekly event that I haven't seen mentioned yet is held by Raidergirl3 at An Adventure in Reading. She asks "It's Tuesday. Where are you?"

Thank-you for doing this fun week of book giveaways and meeting other bloggers, Amy.

I wanted to let you know about Raidergirl3's weekly. It's called, "It's Tuesday. Where Are You?" We comment on the places we are visiting because of the books we are reading. It's fun to read others' comments.

That comment from cheya is from me - booklogged. You won't be able to connect to anything if you click on cheya, but will find my blogs by clicking on booklogged. Sorry about that little farkle.

BBAW was a lot of fun. I know I didn't do a whole lot, but it was fun to visit everyone else's blogs. It was also a great way to get some exposure (eep!) and meet new people. I actually do feel like I've been away at a conference and now I feel a little sad that it's over. I've gotten some ideas about how to giveaway some of the books that I have finished reading. At some point, I'll be making friends with Mr. Linky. I just don't know anything about shipping books.
