I saw two movies over break that everyone said were really awesome, but I thought they were just ok.

Once--good music, some funny parts, but ultimately not a lot happens. Which is I guess what they wanted to do. But that leaves you, as the viewer, a little bored at times. If you decide to watch this movie, and you don't have a healthy dose of Irish dialogue in your life, you might have to use subtitles.

Amazing Grace--everyone said this was such a fantastic movie and while it was interesting, it didn't really live up to all the hype for me. Maybe because I already knew some stuff about William Wilberforce. Admittedly, it could just be because I was totally exhausted, and slightly confused by the back and forth time shift story-telling technique.

Did you watch any movies over the holidays?

I liked Amazing Grace. I didn't think it was fabulous, but it was good and worth watching. I thought they overplayed the song, "Amazing Grace", in the movie - it seemed they were looking for a big hook to draw people in and to connect parts of the movie, but it didn't seem natural in the flow of the movie. At least to me.

Over the holiday's Mrs. E and I went to see National Treasure and I went to see I Am Legend. I enjoyed both - good escapism and relaxation.

I want to see both of those movies that you mention...I'm glad they were good!
