Kindle

Ever since the CD has been made near obsolete by mp3 players and the like, I've feared the day technology would do the same to my beloved books. I must admit I am exceedingly materialistic when it comes to books. I like to hold them in my hands, I like the way they look on my shelf, as I read them--I like to study the cover. If I lend you a book, I want it returned in near mint condition. I love the smell of new books, I love browsing in the bookstore, and I love blogging about them. Ha.

Well, the day has arrived. If you visit Amazon's home page, you'll see what I mean. They've finally developed the electronic reading device they feel will satisfy book lovers. And to tell you the truth, as I read about the product, I well, I, uh... sort of started wanting it. Maybe it's good marketing. Maybe it's the truth that it would save space. But no worries, I won't be getting it anytime soon. It's way out of my budget.

So you see, some people blog about the iphone and I being the complete nerdy bookworm that I am blogged about the Kindle.
