Help for the Haunted by John Searles

This is a review. For a post with all the spoilers and hopefully discussion go here.

I stayed up way past my bedtime for two nights in a row reading this book. It's creepy. It's haunting. It's interesting and unique. It's about a couple who works with the haunted...or the demon possessed, and their lives. They get murdered and one of their daughters witnesses it and must determine the truth of what she saw.

Searles does a great job of keeping you curious. The world he depicts with these people feels really real. Like...I could picture them in my head. There's a lot of mystery about a lot of different things.

I found the ending disappointing, but the actual experience of reading most of the book was great! It totally freaked me out and kept me turning the pages.
