Will Anything Fill the LOST void?

I've been trying to keep an eye on the news out of New York this week from the network upfronts about their forthcoming schedules for fall. Not only is LOST going off the air, but 24 will be done, as well as Cold Case, and even Flash Forward. Now is the time for TV to reinvent itself, but sadly nothing looks very promising to me. There are two shows that look like they might be okay, Lonestar on Fox has gotten good advanced reviews and looks like it might be interesting and very different. The other show, Off the Map is another one from Shonda Rhimes abouts some doctors who travel to the Amazon. I'm slightly skeptical it will be more about these young beautiful American doctors attempting to appease their consciences than anything else. But it stars Caroline Dhavernas who I love from her Wonderfalls day (brilliant show!) and so I'll give it a chance. Sadly, it doesn't come until mid-season.

Have you paid any attention to the upfronts? My favorite TV blog, Televisionary has a good run-down of all the schedules and clips and pictures of the forthcoming new series. Check it out and let me know what you think! Is there anything good coming on or is the television industry in serious need of some creative pick-up?
