Fall Festival Recipe Exchange

Fall Festival Recipe Exchange

"Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree." Emily Bronte

Welcome to the first annual (hopefully) fall festival recipe exchange! And Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!

I absolutely love Autumn! I love everything about it..the drop in the temperature, the sweater weather, the trees changing colors...and the food!!!

Today, for your consideration, I have a very easy recipe that probably many of you know already and doesn't require much work. My favorite kind! :)

Pumpkin Dump Cake

Here's What You Need:
1 (29 oz) can of Pumpkin
1 cup of sugar
1 (13 oz) cup of evaporated milk
3 eggs
4 tsp. of pumpkin pie spices
1/2 tsp. of salt
1 box of yellow cake mix
3/4 cups of melted butter
1 cup chopped pecans

Here's What You Do!

First you're going to combine the pumpkin, sugar, evaporated milk, eggs, pumpkin pie spices and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat well. Pour this lovely mixture into a greased 9x13 glass pan. Sprinkle cake mix over the pumpkin mixture and then sprinkle in the pecans. Pour melted butter over it. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. When you stick the knife into the center and it comes out clean, you're good to go! Make sure you keep an eye on it at the end as it'll burn easily. This will make tons of goodies for you (or 12-15 people) to enjoy!

Now I want to find out all about yours! I think I'll try to make as many of them as possible. :)

Just drop your permalink in the Mister Linky and be prepared to be hungry all day as you visit everyone else's recipes!

Fall is my favorite season. It's also my favorite time to cook, given I'm a complete cooking nerd unless I make soups or breads.

What an awesome idea. I have seen a lot of recipes lately that are made with pumpkin. The only thing I ever eat with pumpkin in it is pumpkin pie. Your recipe sounds awesome. I am going to save this page to my favorites so I can come back to it and check everyone's recipes out. :)

My recipe's an absolute mess, but this was such a fun idea!

(It's only a mess because of how I wrote it up. The end result is fabulous.)
