It's a Wrap!

I can't believe BBAW is over already! I also can't believe how many months of planning 5 short days takes!

I was thrilled to see so many people enjoying BBAW. I haven't had a chance to read very many posts yet but I hope to over the next week...I am going to Washington D.C. next week for the National Festival of Books (but really I'm just going to hang out with bloggers if I'm being honest--I haven't even looked at the schedule yet and like a complete and TOTAL nerd I'm excited for the tour of the Library of Congress we're going on) so I don't know how much time I'll have.

Like last year, I learned some valuable life lessons while working on BBAW. I suppose it's impossible to devote so much time to something and not learn from it. I plan to blog more personally and more in detail about that later, but I definitely hit some lows on this journey...but I also hit some really great highs!

And I want to take a moment to say a HUGE Thank you to the bloggers who were part of a VERY BIG SURPRISE for me this week. I was completely surprised and deeply touched. I don't think I've even processed what a beautiful gift you've given me. But thank you, Trish, Michelle, Shelly, Rebecca, Ana, Dawn, Katie, Florinda, Laura, Jennifer, Beth, Kristi, Jennifer, Jennifer, Julie, Ann, Kathy, Raych, Wendy, Serena, Swapna, Jill, Kristina,
TLC Book Tours, and Sheri.

It was completely unnecessary but very much appreciated. I really really thank you and I got teary when I let it sink in and I want you to know that when I get my new Sony eReader this December that I will be telling you all about it. THANK YOU!!!! I love you!

Amy

You did a fantastic job and I am positive that 99% (I really hope it's 100%) of bloggers out there realize and appreciate you and what you've done.
Thank you for this fantastic event and I can't wait for the next year already.

Amy, you are amazing and BBAW was so much fun this week. As a first-time participant, I loved every minute, and it was evident in how smooth everything seemed to go how much planning and organization this took. You deserve a pat on the back (and that e-reader!) Thank you, Amy!!!

It's been a great week - thank you for masterminding the festivities! (And I have a slight idea of how much work is involved...but I'll be back on the team next year, if you want me!)

I'm so glad you'll enjoy your gift, once you're able to use it :-).

Amy, the amount of thought, energy, dedication and most of all, love that you put into BBAW could never be repaid by any gift. I do so appreciate everything you've done and look on in amazement at all that you do. You handle even the "lows" with more grace than most people handle the "highs." Thank you again.

This was my very first BBAW and I really enjoyed the experience! Appreciate the efforts you put into making it such a success, Amy. It really inspired me to do even more with books on my blog. (I'm an author, but I do feature authors, book excerpts, virtual tours, etc. on my blog. Now I would really like to do more book reviews as well - those are a little few & far between.)

And that was a wonderful gift from your fellow bloggers.

It makes me sad to hear that you hit lows, but understand why. You put your heart and soul into this project, and have done so much for the community. You are never going to make everyone happy, I suppose. But you are much appreciated and loved!

Thank you for BBAW, Amy! I had a great time--I only had time to do a fraction of the stuff set up, but I really enjoyed it. :) I'm looking forward to it next year.

Thank you Amy, for creating BBAW and making it even better this year. I loved the articles each day and read them all, and it was my first time tuning in to BlogTalk radio. I called w/ a question but there were too many people ahead of me. I loved hearing everyone's voices!
You sure planned BBAW's timing well to get people revved up for the book festival! Wish I was going.

Thank you, Amy! It was a blast.

I hope I'll get to meet you at the festival. I'll be going with The Girl, Serena, and her mom. I won't be able to go on the LOC tour, though, since I have to work.

Enjoy and thanks so much for all your hard work. I know that you've hit lows. Hopefully the highs you've had and the highs of us all will overshadow it as completely as possible. Thanks for the great ride!

You deserve a huge thank you, Amy! I can't wait to hear about your highs and lows. :)

I've only seen the tip of the iceberg of what happens in the background of BBAW - I can't imagine all it has taken to pull this together!

It was a fun week! I think most of us are a little wiped out from reading and writing posts, but it has been like one big party - worth a little lack of sleep (and red eyes) to have enjoyed such a huge celebration of books and blogging!

Have a great time in DC! I'm so happy for all of you who can go (maybe a tad envious :) ), and will look forward to reading all about in in your posts (and pics, please!)

I just want to tell you again I think BBAW was awesome! This was my first year participating and it was really fun and enjoyable -- if a bit overwhelming! You certainly provided something for everyone and I'm amazed at what you and your team were able to pull off. I hope to help out next year -- I'm sure it will be even bigger and better. Thank you for all your hard work.
