Vlog: The L.A. Times Festival of Books

I will probably be the last person to write my wrap-up post for the Festival of Books! I promise to get to it just as soon as I can. But one fun part of the weekend was getting the chance to record some vlogs with Natasha and Trish. As it turns out, we can talk a lot. Bet you never guessed!

Anyway, we decided to do a short one on our experience at the Festival of Books. Please forgive my awkwardness in this blog, we were actually sitting really close together and since last time I did this I used my camera and not a webcam I was really rather self-conscious about seeing myself while I talked. So I kept trying to make sure my face wasn't getting cut in half. ;)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy! If you've already watched it at Natasha or Trish's site, well...thanks!

I thought you were fine! The one thing I hate about webcams is being able to see myself while I'm recording.

It was fun watching the vlog (I viewed it at Natasha's). Wish I could have gone back on Sunday too, but I'm older than you girls and one day tired me out quite enough :-)!

But seriously, it was a great time and I loved meeting you - hope we can meet up again soon!

You three are just too cute for words! You'll have to come to Book Group expo and do an encore vlog.

And yes, I'm going to hound you about BGE for the next 4 or 5 months. :-D That's how I got Trish to go last year.

Watching stuff like this makes me sad to live in Iowa - I'll never get to go to the fun meetups. =( But, watching also makes me feel like I know you all better, so that's fun!

Ugh. Kiddo and I posted a comment last night and it disappeared. :( Ok, to summarize (since it was really long) ...

Kiddo and I watched the vlog and we loved it. He thought it was SO COOL to actually see other bloggers (so did I!). He also checked out your blog and saw the LOST icon on the right. He said to tell you he also likes LOST (go figure) and that his favorite guy is Jack, since his old favorite, Charlie, died.

Oh, and he said to make more videos with your friends so he could watch more of them.

:)

I enjoyed watching your vlog to hear your thoughts on the experience. It sounds like you all had a great time. Thrity Umrigar lives in my area and is a professor at a local college. I have to go to one of her readings! What was the title of the book you bought Amy?
