The Weekly Review

Announcements
March 23-27 will be my blogiversary bash. It will be 4 years from the time I created this blog, even though regular blogging came much later. :)

I have another semi-big blogging announcement to make this week so stay tuned!

This Week's Endorsement
About Lark and Termite (which I really want to read) by Jayne Anne Phillips
“This novel is cut like a diamond, with such sharp authenticity and bursts of light.” –Alice Munro

Books I bought this week based on book bloggers reviews
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
Lenore said "Mary’s story will resonate with fans of impossible romances set against perilous backdrops." Oh yes, sounds like my kind of book! (for the record I HATE the title)

North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley
I read a lot of positive reviews for this one, but Swapna said "my only regret is that the book ended." High praise indeed!

Television
I confess, I haven't been able to tear myself away from the LOST forums lately. I think it was the week with no episode that sent me to read the fan discussions at Television Without Pity and on Dark UFO. LOST fans make me laugh, they really do. When given a spoiler that a character will die this season, someone inevitably brings up Vincent. (who is a dog) Vincent always gets dragged into everything, and it never fails to make me laugh. Anyway, I listened to this video from Comic Con three times trying to figure out if Pierre Chang says Lefleur or not. A million things I need to get done in my life, and yet...

How do you feel about the new judges save rule on Idol? I personally don't like it and so was pleased to read this assessment from my favorite Idol blogger.

Books
Liviania has a nice interview with Beth Kephart here.

Jen is decluttering! Read all about her progress. Also, be sure to resubscribe to her blog at this feed, lest you be like me and think she dropped off the face of the earth.

Beth is hosting her very first giveaway and offering you the chance at some brand spanking new books, also known as ARCs.

Carrie listened to Dragonfly in Amber, the second in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series on audiobook. Suffice to say....I think she liked it. ;)

Nicole reviewed a book that looks pretty interesting, Secret Daughter. Go read her review and let her know if you reviewed it as well!

Awards
Many thanks to bloggers who recognized My Friend Amy for an award in the past couple of weeks! Thanks to Yvonne for the Proximidade Award, Alyce for the Butterfly Award, and Marta for the Your Blog is Fabulous Award! It really does mean so much to me that anyone reads this blog at all! :)

Winners
Stacie won Dinner with a Perfect Stranger!
