New Blog to Visit

This blog just registered this week, but I popped over and loved the look of it in addition to their niche, which focuses on multi-cultural books for kids and young adults.

If you pop over, have a look, leave a comment or subscribe and then come tell me about it, I'll enter you into a drawing for one of three copies of Acedia & Me by Kathleen Norris.

Thanks for alerting us to this blog. I am also always looking for multicultural books. I left a comment on the entry "Poetry Friday: The Poet Pencil." I noted that I also liked the bilingual book of poetry ""The Desert Is My Mother" by Pat Mora. Here in Tucson the non-Hispanic population often expresses the sentiment that there isn't anything worthwhile to read in Spanish, but that is because they are unaware of any!!! Pat Mora is someone who tries, beautifully, to bridge the gap.

This is fantastic! I sell Barefoot Books, which have been featured on the Paper Tiger blog a few times. I love to expose children to other cultures -- it's so important to instilling a sense of community and diversity in this global world.

Thank you so much for the special mention and to all the other bloggers who have commented both here and over at PaperTigers. It really has made our day, reading all your comments - and I see there are lots of new blogs for me to explore too - what a wonderful initiative the Bloggers Appreciation Week is for getting to know eachothers' blogs - thank you, Amy.

Oh so many thanks! I am delighted to have a whole new crop of bookloving blogs to read and learn from--and am grateful to all who came to The PaperTigers Blog and left their wonderful comments. May our relationships continue and thrive in a world of bibliophiles. (PS--Acedia and Me is a book I look forward to reading once I complete my move to Bangkok--on my first sojourn there, I took Dakota (by the same writer) and it sustained me for months of reflection--will order Acedia as soon as I'm settled in.)
