Catherine Delors was the first author to step up in support of BBAW. I think she's fantastic. I haven't read her book yet, but I did order it.

I absolutely adore books set in Victorian times, especially Victorian London. I'm very much an Anglophile.

Ancient Egypt is rather fascinating to me right now as I have been reading Pauline Gedge's latest book set in that period and culture. I'm writing a review right now and I'm waiting for her next one to come out in November.

ReplyDeleteI love reading about the pioneer times like the authors Laura Ingalls Wilder or Janette Oake write about. I also loved Lisa See's "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" that was around Chinese history and culture. It was fascinating!

I was an English Lit major with a concentration is Early Brit Lit, so that's an area I know fairly well and enjoy. As a matter of fact, I'm in the midst of Ariana Franklin's The Serpant's Tale right now. I also love to read historical fiction set in early America. But really anything where I'm learning about a different time or a different culture...it's all so gosh darned interesting!

That's a hard question. I really enjoy WWI and WWII and books about the kings & queens. Recently I read Crossed and embroiled myself in the Fourth Crusade. It was great.

I love WWI books and Civil War books. I'm also recently really into the Vietnam War. Wow, this kind of makes me sound like a warmonger. I'm not, I swear :)
