My student's husband is in her native country visiting family at the moment. Apparently, he doesn't feel the need to call her much, because he's having a blast spending time with his sister. He can be quoted as saying, "You only get one sister, you can always get another wife."

I view this as a response to a line of interrogation insinuating something unsavory....Was she "nagging" about the lack of phone calling?
I do feel bad for her, though, in any case, because it WAS a hurtful thing for him to say. It deserves a calculated, calm, and honest rebuttle....
