Oprah has recently announced her latest book club pick. I'm sure that Sidney Poitier appreciates this vote of confidence as the sales of this book are sure to soar. I was listening to the radio the other day and they mentioned that Corinne Bailey Rae's album sales also increased dramatically after an Oprah appearance.
Oprah has power...and oh to have the power of Oprah...to simply bestow the art and good people you love with a sales increase by nothing more than your vote of confidence. I mean really. I'm sure tourism to South Africa has also picked up.
So...if you had the power of Oprah...what would you draw attention to? Who would you highlight? Who would you launch to international superstardom?

Mike gets to make a week long trip to South Africa in May...on a business trip (sans sa famille). I wish we could go, too :-(
THAT'S AWESOME!! Where in South Africa will he be? That is one long trip!
His company has offices in Johannesburg and Capetown BOTH! They're not yet sure which office will be the base for his implementation team. I'm still envious, either way...
