Happy 4th!

I will be blissfully away from the computer for the next few days, so I just wanted to wish everyone who might stop by a happy 4th. I hope it's a good restful weekend, and I really hope your places of employment have given you Monday off as well. I hope you have good weather and yummy food and get to see some spectacular fireworks. Maybe even get a little choked up over the national anthem. Whatever will make the day a sweet one for you.
I'm thankful to have been born into this country and thankful for the kind of life I have been able to have here. I think Americans are a lot more fantastic than their world-wide reputation, if somewhat naive, and I am blessed to know so many of you who carry the label American and give it a positive ring.
So enjoy the day of celebration, pray for our troops, and pray for our government. Whatever your feelings about them, God has placed them where they are in His sovereignty.
