Nothing to Say

It is absoultely gorgeous outside. Like, perfect weather gorgeous. Blue sky, crisp outline of the mountains, sun shining, a gentle breeze in the air. I let my student go before lunch with the usual exhortation to "have a great weekend!", and bolted to my car. I could not wait. I rolled down my windows, popped Andy Peterson's debut album in my cd player, and cranked up the volume.

I love these times. When the weather is beautiful and I can just absolutely revel in the delight of God's creation and the creation of God's creation. I always feel my soul join in something beyond myself that is timeless. A little step outside of the order of this world and a glimpse of that which lays beyond.

I hope you have a moment like that today, too.
