9/11

I feel like I would be remiss not to mention September 11th in my blog. It's hard to believe that it has been four years, and that we've now faced another crisis as a nation....one that seems to be dividing rather than uniting. But today is not about the storm that tore up the gulf coast region and the people who live there, but about the planes that crashed into buildings and awakened us to the fact that there is no safe haven, violence and war exist in the hearts of men everywhere and no amount of intelligence or military can ever protect us from the cruel reality of sin on this earth.
The years following have been nothing but uncertain, and with the most recent natural disaster we have realized yet again...there is no sure thing.
Except one. My citizenship is not of this earth. This place is not my home. My home is waiting for me when my time and purpose on this earth have come to a close. Thank you Jesus. So let the storms come if they must....my foundation, my life, my hope are in Jesus. And nothing can shake Him from His throne.
