Catherine Delors was the first author to step up in support of BBAW. I think she's fantastic. I haven't read her book yet, but I did order it.

Ancient Egypt is rather fascinating to me right now as I have been reading Pauline Gedge's latest book set in that period and culture. I'm writing a review right now and I'm waiting for her next one to come out in November.
Japan has always been interesting to me, although I seem to be gravitating towards ye olde England lately! Need to start picking up more books based in Japan to balance it out I think!
I love reading about the pioneer times like the authors Laura Ingalls Wilder or Janette Oake write about. I also loved Lisa See's "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" that was around Chinese history and culture. It was fascinating!
Another Anglophile here Victorian and Tudor, but I also love books set during the Civil War.

My favorite period to read about is Ancient Egypt but I also love Medieval England. Really, historical in general makes me happy and I would love to read Mistress of the Revolution!!!!

I was an English Lit major with a concentration is Early Brit Lit, so that's an area I know fairly well and enjoy. As a matter of fact, I'm in the midst of Ariana Franklin's The Serpant's Tale right now. I also love to read historical fiction set in early America. But really anything where I'm learning about a different time or a different culture...it's all so gosh darned interesting!
I can get lost in the British Isles no matter what year it is (or was). England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland - I can't get enough.

My fave is England especially anything to do with Henry VIII and the Boleyns. I would love to win a copy of this book.
It would be a tie between England and Russia. I like both equally. I used to be more of a fan of fiction about Russia, but have developed a tast for fiction set in England ever since visiting there three years ago.
I am French, I am torn between France and Japan which both have colorful pasts, so I am entering both countries. England is a bit to stiff-upperlip for me and French-English relations where always in an uproar.

That's a hard question. I really enjoy WWI and WWII and books about the kings & queens. Recently I read Crossed and embroiled myself in the Fourth Crusade. It was great.

One of my personal favorite places to read novels about is India, any time period.
When I was a teen it was the Civil War and Regency periods. Now I enjoy WWII and Victorian England.

I feel so cliche saying this, but I'm a little bit obsessed with the English royals right now (the long-dead ones). Normally I'm just a sucker for major-historical-event-fiction.
My favorite historical period to read about is the ancient civilizations of the Fertile Crescent and Egypt; I would like to read more about the histories of China and Japan, tho'.
It's so hard to choose just one place and time! I have always been drawn to the Second World War and while most of my focus has been on Europe and the U.S. during that time period, I've since branched out to other countries who were involved as well.
I love book set in Medieval times -- knights and kings and queens and all of that.

I love WWI books and Civil War books. I'm also recently really into the Vietnam War. Wow, this kind of makes me sound like a warmonger. I'm not, I swear :)
I grew up in Mississippi, so I've probably read the most about the Civil War. As I've gotten older, I've gotten more interested in other periods. Lately I've been reading more about WWI and WWII.
