I have to admit I fall victim to them. Especially when my favorite authors have written them. Especially when they sound sincere. (being a reviewer of books myself I sort of know the difference between when something has been AWESOME to the reader and when they are simply appreciating the book)
But sometimes you do wonder. How did they get there? Apparently there's a whole political process in place, favors bought and sold that we don't know about.
