I love fall. Or Autumn if you will. Everything about it. But I really adore the food! The other day I was reflecting on all of the fabulous things you can make with pumpkin to celebrate fall and considered having a pumpkin recipe exchange -- until I learned that some people don't like pumpkin. So....I decided we should just swap our favorite fall recipes!
This is really simple! Imagine a virtual Fall Festival. Next Monday (or a day early or after...whenever it's convenient for you!) post a recipe on your blog of one of your favorite fall dishes! And feel free to decorate! Add a lovely fall photo, share with us some songs that help you enjoy the season, share a tradition, or a book you think is perfect with your recipe.
And we can bask in the joy that is my favorite season! On October 12, I'll host a Mister Linky where you can drop your link. And then we can visit each other's recipes and find more yummy food that we can make during this season. I hope this becomes a favorite tradition that we do for years and years to come!
If you are so inclined, please help spread the word and leave a comment if you think you might participate! :)
What a fun idea! I'd love to participate and will help spread the word...just let me know what I can do!
ReplyDeleteCount me in! I'd love to participate :)
ReplyDeleteHow much fun! I'll have to hunt down my favorite fall recipe. Fall just happens to be my favorite season, even though here in Florida, we are the farthest thing from sweater weather!
ReplyDeleteFall always makes me want to bake cookies. I use the Nestle Toll House recipe, but add more flour and reduce the butter so that they are fluffier and more cake like. I also underbake so they are soft.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! Fall is my favorite time of the year too! I will start searching. There are so many good recipes!
ReplyDeleteCount me in! Fall is my favorite season, and I love baking with pumpkin! :)
ReplyDeleteI just bought some pumpkin bread and it is (okay, was) great! I'll try to come up with something too! And I hope you get Bermudaonion - she is my recipe idol!
ReplyDeleteI wish I were a recipe girl. I'm a going to the farmer's market girl and buying ingredients and coming home and trying to fit them together into something pretty and nutritious and good. This has nothing to do with recipes, but I can't go an autumn without eating at least one carmel/nut covered apple.
ReplyDeletelovely idea, i may do this on my other blog rather than Un:Bound, but it's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely going to participate in this! Great idea - and I'll still probably stick with a pumpkin-fied recipe since I love it oh-so-much!
ReplyDeleteI'm in!!! Nothing beats finding some good fall recipes!! Now, I just have to narrow it down to one!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a yummy idea! I'm definitely passing it on. Can't wait to stock up on new recipes to try!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! I'll try to participate, but no promised - I'll be out of town Thursday through Sunday and then leave again Friday.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll post the recipe for the tomato pumpkin basil soup I made today :D
ReplyDeleteLovely idea! I'll try to dig up Mom's Hamburger Soup recipe and post it on my blog next Monday. If not, then there's my personal favorite Yam-n-Apple Casserole.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea!! Count me in! I've got a great pumpkin black bean chili recipe that always wins me rave reviews and captures the spirit of the season perfectly!
ReplyDeleteSounds fun! I love sharing recipes. I will definitely mark my calendar and start thinking about which recipe I want to post. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this idea! I get into such cooking ruts that I'm always looking for new ideas.
ReplyDeleteSign me up! That's Canadian Thanksgiving Day, btw.
ReplyDeleteI'm in! Can't wait to see everyone's recipes. I have no idea what I am going to submit, but I bet I can think of something!
ReplyDeleteOooh! I'll definitely do this!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I'm really gonna have to give this some thought, but I'll probably go with potato candy, an old family tradition...
ReplyDeleteSign me up!! Yum yum yum
ReplyDeleteFall festival?! Recipes??!! Oh yes, I am so there! Thanks for hosting, Amy! This will be fun.
