BBAW Day 4: Brag on Yourself

Well, the awards are being handed out and congratulations passed on, I hear there's a best dressed/worst dressed in book blogging edition to come, but the truth is you are all pretty darned spectacular. So for today, why not show it off?

Go hunt through your archives and find your favorite review, or author interview where you asked just the right insightful questions, or another post about something totally unrelated--a post where you think you're at your best and share it here! So today, it's really important to link to your specific post and NOT your general URL. OR. If you can't decide on just one, write up a new post containing the links to your favorites. It's your choice...do it whichever way you want!

    My post for Lost by Cathy Ostlere get's the most views by far. I think it might be because peeps are looking for the tv show, but whatever works.

    My review of Body Surfing by Anita Shreve garnered me my first comment from Mariel in which she said she thought the review was excellent and made her want to pick up the book. I was tickled pink!

    I had a blast following The Lace Reader map and touring Salem with my family. I enjoyed this because it was family time and blogging time combined; the kids (and even my husband) kept looking at the map to ask "where do we go next?!). It got a good response from readers of my blog, too (and Brunonia Barry told me she loved it, to top it off!)

    I posted my review of The Gift of Rain, by Tan Twan Eng. It's a review I'm proud of writing for an excellent, challenging book. At first I thought I hated it, and put the book down four times, before it swept me away, and became really rewarding. It's a hard book. but worth it.

    One of my favorite interviews was featuring a fantastic doll artist who is making a set of dolls replicating famous artists and their works, such as Rembrandt, Vermeer, etc. You have to see these! (The dolls are dollhouse (1/12th) scale, 1"= 1', so adults are mostly 6inches tall). http://candidcanine.blogspot.com/2008/08/daily-blog-31-art-come-to-life-in.html

    I linked to a character interview I did with characters from Sydney Croft's books...it was so much fun. I sent the co-authors the questions and they answered from the POV of the characters...we went back and forth until it read like a real conversation.

    When the Large Hadron Collider launched, I enjoyed musing on books I had read related to this historic event and finding new books to read along the same themes. This was a really fun post to write and resulted in what I think is a fun and unique reading list. - Shannon (Books Worth Reading)
