Booking Through Thursday: But Enough About Books

Okay, even I can’t read ALL the time, so I’m guessing that you folks might voluntarily shut the covers from time to time as well… What else do you do with your leisure to pass the time? Walk the dog? Knit? Run marathons? Construct grandfather clocks? Collect eggshells?

This is a funny question and the truth is that I spend a lot of time on the internet. But, I recently read that blogging is a lifestyle not a hobby, so I don't know if that counts! :)

I also enjoy writing, journaling, watching tv and movies, daydreaming (yes this is a serious leisure activity) and traveling to new places, visiting new restaurants, and occasionally baking. I like to sort through my photos and I have about a million half-finished projects. I am also always on the hunt for a new hobby. I like shopping but am working really hard on converting to fair trade shopping and not shopping as recreation so that is changing. When with friends, we mostly chat and drink tea or coffee.

And don't laugh, but I really love to paint. Unfortunately, I can't actually paint. I do it only as a recreational activity to express some inner feeling of love or turmoil and while I have liked a few things that I have painted, they resemble something a less than talented pre-schooler might create.

I love games of all kinds especially word games or drama games. If you are on facebook, let's play scrabulous. (Kat...still waiting for you to play!)

Please visit Booking Through Thursday to find out what other bookworms do when not reading! :)

Hi Amy, blogging is a lifestlye? LOL! I usually participate in BTT but I couldn't get the internet to work right. Well, I came on over to let you know you've won a copy of Reluctant Smuggler! Congrats!

I like your blog and we read similar books so I'll be back!

Email me at booksplurge(at)gmail(dot)com so I can get your book to you.

This week's BTT has been really fun. I enjoy reading about what everyone else does with the rest of their free time.

I think daydreaming is a fantastic hobby, very underrated.
