Amy, thanks for the comments on my blog. I hopped over here to see what you were up to. One of the bloggers in the Uganda project is the wife of one of my hubby's colleagues. Wow, where have I been? I'd heard about the Uganda trip (Boo Mama is HILARIOUS if you don't already read her), but didn't know this was Compassion Blog month. I have had one child graduate from the program and my second will graduate in about a year and a half. It's so hard because I feel like I get to know them and then they're gone. No contact or anything. I can only keep praying...

Thanks so much for this, Amy! I am taking my blog out of mothballs for at least this month to join in this cause (we'll see what happens after that as far as continued blogging).

I love the idea about the $25 drawing, but I'm afraid my blog has been stale so long I won't have any comments anyway. That's not going to discourage me from doing this blogging to support Compassion. I realize that the more links and sites on the web that are talking about Compassion, the greater chance that random passers-by or googlers will stumble onto it and end up sponsoring a child. So it's definitely worth it!

What a fabulous idea and so gracious of you. We have two Compassion kiddos, one from Kenya and another from Indonesia. We keep their pictures up on the fridge, next to my Pray for Your Children Daily calender. My 18 month old knows them by name and likes to lay hands on their pictures. Precious. You're right, we can all do our part, even if it's little in our eyes, to help others in need.
